Children’s
has provided hope to sick children and their families throughout the
region for more than 130 years What started as a small hospital in
the city has grown to a nationally recognized leader in pediatric
medicine with research facilities, satellite offices around the
beltway, and primary care centers. The physicians and nurses at
Children’s are among the best in the nation -- providing everything
from routine well-baby exams to pediatric specialists in all medical
disciplines. Children's is also a research facility, with hundreds
of grants and studies performed each year.
Children’s
Hospital has consistently been listed as one of America’s best
pediatric institutions by U.S. News & World Report. The Washington
Metro area is so fortunate to have a Pediatric Hospital of this
caliber. To show our appreciation for the hospital and medical
team, we have created a non-profit corporation, For Our Children and
Theirs, Inc. (FOCAT), as our charitable giving vehicle. FOCAT is a
Maryland Corporation whose primary purpose is to raise money for
Children’s Hospital. FOCAT was granted 501 (3) (c) status on
January 22, 2007.
